FLUSHING, NY - Seizing their first Skyline victory of 2024, the Yeshiva men's tennis team took down St. Joseph's University Long Island, defeating the Golden Eagles by a score of 8-1 on Sunday, Mar. 7.
The Maccabees ran through doubles play, winning all three matchups, success that allowed them to carry a 3-0 lead into singles.
Truly establishing their chokehold on the match, Yeshiva continued their dominance in singles play, dropping only one of the six matches to close out the dual match, 8-1.
With the win, the Macs are now 3-7, 1-1 in conference play.

- Continuing to make magic with their rackets, the Maccabees struck even harder in singles matchups, as Pfeifer (6-3, 6-2), Betesh (6-3, 6-1), Harry Radinsky (6-0, 6-0), Joshua Deutsch (6-4, 6-1) and Elan Goldstein (6-1, 6-1) all came out on top in straight sets.
- YU's only loss came in the No. 2 seeded match, when Leo Rahmey fell by a score of 6-4, 7-5.
- Nevertheless, the Macs had done enough to capture a dominant 8-1 victory over SJLI.
