PATCHOGUE, NY - Playing in their final doubleheader of the 2024 season, the Yeshiva softball team fell to St. Joseph's University Long Island, losing to the Golden Eagles by scores of 13-0 and 16-0 on Monday, May. 6.

Offensively, the Maccabees' lone hit came off the bat of
Tali Schimmel in game one.

With the result, the Macs close out the year with a record of 0-30, 0-18 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED - Game 1 (L, 13-0)
- Yeshiva struggled in game one, allowing six runs in the bottom of the first inning, six in the second and one in the fourth.

- YU's best chance to put up runs of their own came in the top of the second. After reaching first on a hit-by-pitch, Tova Hakakian advanced to second on a Schimmel single, placing two runners in scoring position with just one out. However, a strikeout and a fielder's choice left both runners stranded without the chance to reach home.

HOW IT HAPPENED - Game 2 (L, 16-0)
- Unfortunately, the Macs' defense did not fare much better in game two, surrendering six runs in the first, six in the second, two in the third and two in the fourth.

- Yeshiva managed just one baserunner, when Schimmel drew a walk in the top of the fifth.
