ONEONTA, NY - Taking on their first and only dual match opponent of the fall season, the Yeshiva Men's Tennis Team fell to SUNY Oneonta, losing to the Red Dragons by a score of 7-0 on Sunday, Sept. 22.
 
The Maccabees got off to a slow start in doubles play, losing all three matches and ceding the point to the Red Dragons. Despite their best efforts, the Macs were not able to turn things around come singles play, dropping all six matches and ultimately falling, 7-0.
 
With the loss, the Macs are now 1-0 on the season.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
Doubles:

• The Macs struggled in doubles play, seeing the pairs of David Cattan/Jacob Feit (6-1), Leo Rahmey/Ethan Rolnick (6-2) and Jimmy Li/Eliav Sacknovitz (6-1) all fall.
   
• With the three losses, the Macs went into singles trailing, 1-0.

 
Singles:

• Unfortunately, Yeshiva were not able to rebound come singles play, as Cattan (6-2, 6-1), Feit (6-1, 6-2), Israel Bussu (6-0, 6-1), Rahmey (6-0, 6-3), Eithan Sapir (6-2, 7-5) and Ethan Rolnick (6-4, 6-4) all fell in straight sets.

Moving away from dual match play for the rest of the fall season, the Macs are set to Participate in the ITA Northeast Regionals from Thursday, Sept. 26 - Friday, Sept. 27.
