FARMINGDALE, NY - Competing in the first round of the Skyline Conference Playoffs, the Yeshiva Women's Tennis Team fell to Farmingdale State College, losing to the #1 seeded and undefeated Rams by a score of 4-0 on Wednesday, Oct. 22nd.
The Maccabees started slow in doubles play, dropping the No. 2 and No. 3 seeded matches to fall behind 1-0 headed into singles. Unfortunately, YU was unable to turn things around in singles play, losing the No. 2, No. 5 and No. 4 matches and dropping the contest, 4-0.
About the result, Coach Miller had to say, "Played well against a tough team. Very proud of the great effort made by the team this season."

- Despite their best efforts, YU could not keep pace with the Farmingdale rackets. With Laufer (6-0, 6-0), Grunseid (6-2, 6-1) and Tilem (6-1, 6-2) all being outdueled by the conference counterparts, the Rams accrued a definitive four points, officially ending YU's season in the Skyline Semifinals.
