HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Maccabees came out strong, igniting a dominant 9-0 run fueled by Trabelsi's powerful serves, forcing Medgar Evers to call an early timeout. Yeshiva continued their offensive surge with key kills from Menachem Solomon and Frohlich, extending their lead to 17-4. The Macs remained unstoppable, closing out the set in commanding fashion with a 25-8 victory.
- Set two started in similar fashion, with Trabelsi once again igniting a strong run from the service line. Adding to the momentum, Werta and Yoni Rubin contributed aces of their own, helping extend the Maccabees' lead to 8-3. The Cougars fought back, regaining some offensive control in an attempt to stay in the set, but the Macs quickly shut down their efforts with multiple runs of their own. Key kills from Aden Frohlich and Peter Osen further fueled their dominance, as Yeshiva closed out the set with another commanding 25-8 victory.
- Set three saw a back-and-forth battle early on, with the Cougars taking advantage of a number of Yeshiva errors. However, the Maccabees quickly capitalized on the Cougars' mistakes, keeping the score tied at 5. Once the Cougars reached 6 points, Yeshiva took full control. A dominant run, fueled by key plays from all six Maccabees on the court, saw them surge ahead to a commanding 23-6 lead.
