BRONX, NY - Taking home their first W of the 2024-25 season, the Yeshiva Men's Tennis Team dominated Brooklyn College, defeating the Bulldogs by a score of 6-1 on Tuesday, Mar. 11th.
Yeshiva started out strong in doubles play, taking two of the three matches to capture the point and go into singles up 1-0. The Macs carried their momentum into singles play, winning all but one contest to close out the dual match, 6-1.
With the win, the Macs are now 1-3 on the year.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Doubles:
- Despite the duo of Matan Kamhi/Israel Bussu falling in the No. 1 seeded match, the Maccabees rallied in No. 2 and No. 3. The pair David Cattan/Jacob Feit came out on top 6-0, while Jacob Pfeifer/Mark Adler took down their opponents 6-1, securing the doubles point for the Macs.
- With the wins, Yeshiva went into singles play with a 1-0 advantage.
Singles:
- Yeshiva's success carried into singles play. Kamhi (6-0, 6-2), Cattan (6-2, 6-1), Bussu (6-1, 5-7), Feit (6-1, 6-1) and Adler (6-1, 6-1) all swept their outer-borough foes in straight sets, locking down the 6-1 victory for the Macs.
