Defense Shines as Women’s Soccer Falls to Maritime

NORTH ARLINGTON, NJ - Taking on their final opponent before the holidays, the Yeshiva Women's Soccer Team fell to Maritime College, losing to the Privateers by a score of 6-0 on Wednesday, Sept. 17th.
 
Offensively, the Maccabees managed five shots, with Ilana Schwartz firing a shot on goal in the 84th minute.
 
On the defensive side of the ball, Yeshiva had its best game of the year, holding Maritime to a season-low six goals. Keeper Maayan Berkowitz tallied 14 saves, facing down 35 shots on the night.
 
UP NEXT
Not playing again until after the holidays, the Maccabees will host St. Joseph's University Long Island on Sunday, Oct. 19th at 1:00 PM.
