ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON - Playing their second of three fall matches, the Yeshiva Men's Tennis Team took down Bard College, beating the Raptors by a score of 4-3 on Sunday, Oct. 18th.
 
The Maccabees started strong, sweeping doubles play to go into singles up, 1-0. While Bard fought back in singles, Yeshiva held on, taking three of the six matches to secure a 4-3 dual match win.
 
With the result, the Macs are now 1-1 on the year.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
Doubles:

• Yeshiva dominated doubles play, seeing the duos of Jacob Feit/Daniel Lando (6-3), Zachary Gibber/David Orbach (7-5), and Josh Zahavi/Gabriel Perla (6-4) all come out on top.
   
• With these strong results, the Macs carried a 1-0 lead into singles play.

 
Singles:

• Bard found its footing in singles play, taking down Feit in the No. 1 match, Daniel Lieberman in the No. 4 match, and Ethan Rolnick in the No. 5 match.
   
• However, the Maccabees stood firm, as Gibber (6-3, 6-3), Jimmy Li (6-1, 6-4), and Orbach (6-0, 6-1) all bested their Raptor counterparts to secure the 4-3 win for YU.

Closing out their fall schedule, the Maccabees will travel out to West Chester University of Pennsylvania on Tuesday, Oct. 20th.
