YONKERS, NY - Taking the field for the first time in 2026, the Yeshiva Women's Soccer Team fell to Sarah Lawrence College, losing to the Gryphons by a score of 11-0 on Tuesday, Sep. 1st.
On top of this being their season opener, the game carried extra importance for eight Maccabees, as it marked their career debut playing in the Yeshiva blue and white.

Aleeza Goldberg all played their first game for YU up in Yonkers.
With the result, the Macs are now 0-1, 0-1 in conference play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Rookie keeper Rena Neiger stood firm in goal for Yeshiva, notching 18 saves while facing down 45 shots. Despite the effort, Sarah Lawrence found the back of the net, scoring 11 times on the night.
- Offensively, the Maccabees were held without a shot.
