Our May male athlete of the month is baseball player Jake Frankel. A senior, Jake has been a member of the team for the past three seasons, including the past two as a team captain.
This season, Jake opened the season with a bang when he led off 2014 with a homerun at Stevens Institute of Technology. Since then, he has continued to play well leading the team in hits (17), doubles (7), total bases (27), slugging percentage (.360) and walks (8). He is also the team co-leader in runs scored (9). As a fielder, Jake has shown great versatility by playing at least one inning at four positions (catcher, second base, shortstop and third base).
Jake is a Psychology major and hails from Los Angeles, California.
