Rob Kaplan-Sherman

  • Title
    Assistant Coach

Kaplan-Sherman has been coaching competitive baseball for the past 20 years, including forming two non-profit travel clubs. He was the co-founder and president of his most recent club, the Central Jersey Owls (co-founded with Jeremy Renna). The Owls are a Shomer Shabbos program playing in secular leagues. The Owls developed a reputation for fundamentally sound baseball, especially pitching. In their first three years, the Owls threw 25 no hitters, a perfect game and had a 49-game winning streak.

When not coaching, Rob runs his market research firm, Clarke and Blum, barbecuing (particularly smoking coffee beans) and cheering for the New York Mets. Rob grew up in Howell, NJ and now lives in Highland Park with his wife Alicia, a clinical psychologist. They have one son, Pax, who lives in New York City and works in private equity.
