Jacob (Jake) Schrier joined the coaching staff of the Yeshiva University men's cross country program in August of 2018.

No stranger to the men's cross country program, Schrier competed for the YU men's cross country team as a student-athlete for all four years, from 2014-2017, and served as a team captain during the latter two seasons.

The Woodmere resident earned the Stan Watson Award at the annual athletics banquet in 2018. Schrier was also successful in the classroom, as he was named to the Skyline Conference Academic Honor Roll in each of his four years as a student at YU.

Since graduating, Schrier won the Asher Strobel Memorial 5k in Englewood, N.J., in August of 2018. He also competed in the Long Island Half Marathon, finishing first in his age group (Men's 20-24 years) and 13th overall, in May of 2018. Schrier also won his age group in the Miami Half Marathon, as he ran with the charity group called "Team Lifeline", in January of 2018.

Schrier graduated from Yeshiva University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a minor in Economics, in January of 2018.
