Jeran

Matthew Jeran

Matthew Jeran was hired as the head men’s golf coach of Yeshiva University in 2014.
 
Prior to Yeshiva, Jeran served as assistant men's golf coach at fellow Skyline Conference member the College at Old Westbury during the 2013-14 season. Before that, Jeran served as assistant coach at Nassau Community College during the 2007-08 season. In his one year with the Lions, the school captured the 2007 NJCAA men's golf national championship. 
 
Prior to that, Jeran served as head boy's golf coach at Deer Park High School, in Deer Park, N.Y, from 1998 through 2006. While with Deer Park, Jeran formed the program from scratch and led the Falcons to league championships in 2005 and 2006, while earning a fourth place finish at the 2006 Section XI boy's golf championship. He was recognized by the Section XI Golf Coaches Association as the Sportsmanship Award winner in 2004. Jeran's accolades also include winning the Spirit of Golf Foundation's 2008 National Coach of the Year Award for outstanding dedication and commitment to mentoring and coaching junior golfers.

Under his leadership,the Maccabees went undefeated (2-0-1) in the 2016 spring season.

Jeran's golf experience also includes having been a golf teaching professional since 1999 and has served as instructor for eight different summer camps in that time.
