Joshua Gochiz joined the Yeshiva University men's soccer program as a goalkeeper coach in January of 2021.
In Gochiz's first season at Yeshiva, the Maccabees advanced to the semifinal round of the Skyline Conference Championships for the first time in program history, after outlasting Farmingdale State College in penalty kicks during the first round of the league tournament.
In 2022, Yeshiva advanced all the way to the Skyline Conference Championship match for the first time in program history after winning a pair of road conference playoff contests, including a 2-0 victory over top-seeded Manhattanville College in the Skyline Semifinal round.
Prior to Yeshiva, Gochiz served as the assistant men's soccer coach (goalkeepers) for his alma mater, New Jersey City University, during the 2018 and 2019 seasons. He played for the Gothic Knights as a student-athlete in 2010.
Gochiz served as the head coach of the Saint Joseph Regional High School boys varsity soccer team from 2012 until 2015. While at the helm, he coached three All-County first team players, a Conference Player of the Year, a County Honorable Mention, and an eventual Haiti Under-20 World Cup qualifier.
A native of Jersey City, N.J., Gochiz earned a bachelor's degree in international business and trade, and graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors, from New Jersey City University in 2013. He earned his master's degree in accounting from New Jersey City University in 2016.
