Tony Elmore

Tony Elmore joined Yeshiva University as the Men’s Soccer Head Coach in January 2008. Prior to Yeshiva, he served as the Women’s Soccer Head Coach at the College of Mount Saint Vincent, where he took the Dolphins to the HVWAC Tournament Championship game in both 2005 and 2006, winning the trophy in 2005.  He was also named Skyline Conference Coach of the Year in 2005.

Tony has been coaching soccer for over 25 years.  He holds a National Diploma from the NSCAA and a National Coach certification from the American Youth Soccer Organization.  For the latter organization, Tony is also a National Coach Instructor and a Member of the National Coaching Advisory Commission.  In these roles, he travels throughout the northeast conducting training seminars for coaches of children and youth ranging from under 6 to under 19.  He also lectures frequently on child protection in the athletic environment.

Tony is a firm believer in athletics as a tool for child and student development and while he loves to win, believes that winning is a by-product of doing the right thing, not just an end in itself.
