Chris Chan was hired as the assistant men's tennis coach at Yeshiva University in August of 2019.
The Maccabees have earned a spot in the Skyline Conference Championships twice under Chan's tenure.
Chan helped coach the Maccabees to a berth in the Skyline Conference Championship match in 2021-22. During that season, Yeshiva clinched the No. 2 seed in the conference championships and knocked off the then-defending league champions, Farmingdale State College, in the semifinal round.
Prior to Yeshiva, Chan served seven years as the head coach of the girls varsity tennis program at Dwight-Englewood School. During his time there, he also held the role of assistant coach of the boys varsity tennis program. Prior to his varsity coaching career, Chan served as head coach of both the girls and boys junior varsity teams at Dwight-Englewood.
Chan has accumulated a 125-25 career coaching record, prior to joining Yeshiva. Under his tenure, Dwight-Englewood captured five Bergen County team titles and six New Jersey Interscholastic Conference Championships. He was honored as the New Jersey Interscholastic Conference Coach of the Year in 2017.
Chan currently resides in Closter, New Jersey. He earned an associate degree in psychology from Bergen Community College in 2014.
