Yosef Ajami was named an assistant coach of both the Yeshiva University women's and men's volleyball programs in July of 2021.
Ajami returns to the program after playing for the Maccabees as a student-athlete for three seasons, from 2018 until 2020. His senior year was his best yet, averaging a team-high 1.80 kills and 2.47 points per set, while scoring 19 total service aces during the shortened season. The co-captain of the team finished second in the Skyline in service aces per set (0.54). On the defensive side, Ajami averaged 1.06 digs per stanza in 2020. Thanks to his strong performance that year, he earned a spot on the All-Skyline Team.
The Brooklyn resident led the Maccabees to back-to-back berths in the Skyline Conference Championships in 2018 and 2019. He earned a spot on the Skyline Conference Winter and Spring Academic Honor Roll three times.
Ajami graduated with a degree in finance and accounting from Yeshiva University's Sy Syms School of Business in May of 2020.
