Erin Potasnick

Erin Potasnick was hired as the assistant coach of the Yeshiva University softball team in September of 2017. Potasnick is responsible for develop and administering practice and pre-game warmups, assist in practice and player development, teaching required position skills to players, and for overseeing and assisting in all game strategies.

No stranger to the Yeshiva University softball program, Potasnick was a pitcher and third baseman for the Maccabees from 2013-2016. She was a member of the program's inaugural season as a freshman, and served as the team captain during her senior year. Potasnick has produced the most career doubles (17) in the history of the program. She is third on Yeshiva's all-time career hits list (50), tied for second in program history with five career triples, and is fourth in YU history in runs scored in a career (43). Potasnick earned a spot on the HVIAC All-Conference Team in 2014 and 2015. 

Potasnick served as the head coach of The Ramaz High School softball team in the spring of 2015. She coached, recruited, and trained the players on the team, developed and organized practice programs, assisted the athletic director in scheduling games, and initiated the planning of the lineups and game strategies.

A native of Teaneck, N.J., Potasnick earned her Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the Stern College for Women of Yeshiva University in May of 2016. She earned her Masters of Science in exercise science at Montclair State University in May of 2018.
