Chana Boltax was named the assistant coach of the Yeshiva University women's basketball team in August of 2021.
During her time as a student at Yeshiva University, Boltax was a three-sport athlete as she played for the YU women's soccer (2017-2019), women's basketball (2017-2021), and softball teams (2018-2021). The Rockville, Md. native was resilient in balancing her collegiate athletic career with her performance in the classroom as she earned a spot on the Skyline Conference Academic Honor Roll six times, an accolade that is bestowed upon student-athletics who earn a GPA of at least 3.30 during their playing seasons.
Boltax played the guard position for the Yeshiva University women's basketball team. She reached her career high of 11 points three times, played strong defense, and was a threat to opponents from beyond the arc. During her final year, she served as one of the team captains.
The Rockville, Md. native also had the clutch factor. With Yeshiva down, 63-62, to Skyline rival Purchase College back on February 13, 2020, Boltax drew a foul with 6.9 seconds remaining in regulation time. She hit both the game-tying and game-winning free throws to propel Yeshiva to a come-from-behind conference victory.
In the spring of 2020, Boltax was named the Yeshiva University Female Graduating Student-Athlete of the Year, for team sports, at the athletic department's annual awards ceremony. The next year, she was the recipient of the prestigious Aaron Meyer Memorial Award, in recognition of selfless dedication to the athletics program. In the summer of 2021, Boltax was Yeshiva's nominee for the NCAA Woman of the Year Award.
Thanks to her strong dedication as a three-sport athlete, Boltax was featured in a post by the NCAA Division III Instagram account. The post can be seen at

Boltax earned her bachelor's degree in biology from Yeshiva University in May of 2020. She is currently attending nursing school at The Phillips School of Nursing at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, in New York City, and is expected to graduate in August of 2022.
