Orri Cohen is a full time Physical Education teacher, middle school multi-sports coach, and former D3 basketball player. He is currently the Head Coach of Yeshiva Women's Basketball, bringing a strong sense of positive team culture and values based on worth ethic, responsibility, and Jewish tenants.Â
Prior to being appointed the Head Coach, Orri was the Head Assistant Coach of Yeshiva Women's Basketball during the 2023-2024 season, that helped bring YU Women's Basketball their first Skyline Conference Player of the Year in school history. Orri was also the Co-Head Coach for the U18 Girls Maccabi Basketball team for the 2023 Pan-Am games in Argentina, bringing home the bronze medal.Â
As a player, Orri played his collegiate basketball at CUNY Brooklyn College, playing an integral part of their 2019-2020 Championship winning season and March Madness appearance. He is a 2x CUNY Sportsmanship Award winner.Â
He currently holds a B.A in Business Management and is working through his Sports Management Master's Degree at Cortland University. He brings a strong sense of communication, passion, and commitment to any program he is a part of and always pushes for excellence.Â
Orri is a native New Yorker, born in Suffolk County, Long Island and currently resides in Manhattan with his wife Carleisha.Â
