Ansara Persad began her tenure as assistant coach of the Yeshiva University women’s soccer team in August of 2017. Persad is no stranger to collegiate soccer, as she played all four years for the Elmira College Soaring Eagles women’s soccer team from 2010-2013.
Persad is currently a professional soccer trainer for Performance Soccer Training, out in Wayne, N.J., where she effectively plans practice and skill assessments for physical and mental training of the team. She also designs a curriculum for individual training sessions.
Prior to Yeshiva, Persad served as the assistant girls’ soccer coach for Ma’ayanot Yeshiva High School for Girls from 2015-2017. She coached the varsity and junior varsity teams, winning two championships with the former, and one championship with the latter.
Persad served as the head coach for the Fair Lawn High School girls’ soccer junior varsity team in 2014, and then became the head coach of its girls’ freshman team in 2015.
A native of Fair Lawn, N.J., Persad earned her Bachelor of Arts in biology and psychology from Elmira College in June of 2014. She is currently pursuing her Master of Science in biology from Montclair State University.
