Melanie Scaccio joined the Yeshiva University women’s soccer program as an assistant coach in August of 2021.
At her alma mater, Rutgers University, Scaccio was the co-captain of her club team during the 2012-13 season. She collaborated with teammates and co-led practices. During that time, she also provided independent soccer lessons for athletes between the ages of 12-18.
In 2008, Scaccio was the captain of the Marlboro High School varsity girls soccer team. She led the practices, drills, and fitness sessions for her teammates. Scaccio also directed teammates during games and provided inspirational pep talks.
A native of Marlboro, N.J., Scaccio earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Rutgers University in May of 2014. She received her master’s degree in education, with concentrations in special education and elementary education, from Rutgers University, The Graduate School of Education in May of 2015. Scaccio is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in clinical psychology at Long Island University Post.
