Yeshiva University Athletics

Schedule

Arnold Ross

Arnold Ross is entering his fourth season as head coach of the Yeshiva University men’s volleyball program in the 2012-13 academic year, and has served as an assistant coach to Roxanne Prendergast for the Maccabees’ women’s program since the fall of 2008.

Ross has twice been named the Hudson Valley Men’s Athletic Conference’s Coach of the Year, has lifted YU to three-consecutive HVMAC regular-season titles (2010-12) and to a postseason title in 2010. In the 2012 campaign, a trio of Macs were named to the HVMAC all-conference team: team captains Jack Voystock and Raphael Herskovits, along with Naftali Rosenthal.

Ironically, Ross played Junior Olympics volleyball throughout his time at Mt. Blue High School (Farmington, Maine), as the school did not sponsor the sport during his scholastic career. He played three years of varsity tennis for head coach Jack Schoen’s Cougars, before becoming a two-sport athlete at College of Mount Saint Vincent (Riverdale, N.Y.). Ross played four seasons of volleyball as an opposite hitter for the Dolphins, and was a No. 1 and 2 singles player for two seasons on CMSV’s tennis squad. He graduated from Mount Saint Vincent with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting and Corporate Communications in 2008, and has worked in New York in the television business ever since. Presently, Ross serves as a production coordinator for Anderson Live – a television show hosted by Anderson Cooper.
