Dalliana Toussaint was announced as the Head Coach of the Yeshiva University men’s and women’s volleyball teams in August of 2017.
In her first season with the men's volleyball program in 2018, Toussaint guided the Maccabees to its first appearance in the Skyline Conference championships since 2010. Chaim Aryeh Rubin and Derek Orenshein were named to the Skyline All-Conference second team.
Toussaint led the men's volleyball team to its second straight appearance in the Skyline Conference championships, during the 2019 season. Sibi Selvarajah was selected to the Skyline All-Conference first team, while Rubin once again earned a spot on the All-Skyline second team.
Prior to Yeshiva, Toussaint served as the Head Coach of the City College of New York’s women’s volleyball team for two seasons, from 2014-2015. The Beavers qualified for the CUNY Athletic Conference championships both years that Toussaint was at the helm, including a berth in the CUNYAC semifinals in 2014. She coached three CUNYAC All-Stars, including two that were inducted into the first team.
Toussaint had a very successful four-year playing career for CCNY’s women’s volleyball team. She was named the CUNYAC Player of the Year as a senior in 2012, was a three-time CUNYAC All-Star, and a two-time CUNYAC Sportsmanship Award winner. As a freshman, Toussaint helped the Beavers win the CUNYAC tournament championship, and earn an automatic bid into the NCAA tournament, in 2009. In her playing career, she accumulated 1,124 career kills, 1,423 digs, 187 service aces, 33 solo blocks, and 70 block assists.
At CCNY's Annual Athletics Banquet in 2011, Toussaint was the recipient of the The Intercollegiate Athletic Office Service Award, which is presented to the student who has rendered outstanding service to the Intercollegiate Athletic and Recreational Sports Program during the school year. In 2013, Toussaint earned the Ben Wallack Award for most outstanding female student-athlete at CCNY.
A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., Toussaint earned her Bachelor’s Degree in English Language and Literature/Letters in 2013.
