Batya Schreier was named an assistant coach of both the Yeshiva University women's and men's volleyball programs in July of 2021. On March 15, 2023, she was named the interim head coach.

The Yeshiva University men's volleyball team won four matches, two of them in Skyline play, during the remainder of the 2023 season after Schreier took over as interim head coach.

In Schreier's first season on the men's side in the spring of 2022, Alon Jakubowitz earned a spot on the All-Skyline second team. For the women's program in the fall of 2022, Ashley Botnick was selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. That same season, Shany Elmaleh set the program's all-time single-match records for kills (17) and points (23) during Yeshiva's victory over Medgar Evers College.

Schreier is no stranger to the Yeshiva University Athletics Department, playing on the Maccabees women's volleyball program for three years (2017-2019), the YU softball team during the 2016 and 2018 seasons, and the Yeshiva women's tennis team in 2018-19. Schreier was named to the Skyline All-Sportsmanship Team for softball in 2018. She also earned the Coach's Award for women's volleyball at the annual athletics banquet twice (2018 and 2019).

A native of Woodmere, N.Y., Schreier graduated Yeshiva University with a bachelor's degree in management and marketing in May of 2020.
