Robert Russell was named the Yeshiva University Athletics Faculty Representative for the Beren Campus in September of 2021. He has been teaching at YU since 2006.
Currently, Russell is a professor of speech and drama at Stern College of Yeshiva University. In 2009, Russell was selected as Stern College’s “Professor of the Year.” He is also an actor, comedian, and director. He appeared in several films, shows, and plays, including a guest appearance on the hit NBC show, E.R.
A resident of Passaic, N.J., Russell earned a bachelor’s degree in acting from Carnegie Mellon University in 1983. He received his master’s degree in acting from the Yale School of Drama in 1989.
