NEW YORK, NY – The women's volleyball team is playing their first season as part of the Skyline conference, after playing previously as an independent. The Macs fell to Farmingdale 3-0 Wednesday night, and 3-1 Thursday night against Mount Saint Vincent.
Against Farmingdale, individual set scores were 9-25, 12-25, 9-25.
Sarit Zukowsky led all players with 32 digs, followed closely by
Dena Shayne with 24.
Moriah Green tallied 6 assists.
The following night, Thursday, Yeshiva fell in 4 sets 15-25, 9-25, 25-23, 21-25.
Dena Shayne had 10 points on 8 kills and 2 service aces. Shayne and
Rena Rotter led the team with 4 digs apiece and
Moriah Green led with 19 assists.
Ilana Wieder recorded 4 kills, while
Littal Kravetz had 2 of her own, to go along with 2 blocks.
The Maccabees do not play again until the 6th of October against City Tech and Cooper Union. The “double dual” will start at 6PM with City Tech, and Cooper Union will play YU at 8PM. The games are being held at Hunter College.
