NEW YORK, NY – The men's tennis team took part in a non-conference, non-traditional season match with FDU-Florham, and came out 5-4 winners. This is Yeshiva's second contest during the fall, and they stand at 1-1 on the season.
Yeshiva jumped out to a 2-1 lead after winning 1
st and 3
rd doubles by close 8-4 and 8-5 scores.
Zach Charles and
Eddie Ashkenazie teamed up for the 1
st singles win, while Eitan Gettenberg and Eliezer Gewirtz were together for the 3
rd singles win.
The Macs split their singles matches, with Charles taking first singles 6-2, 6-2. Yeshiva's
Ephraim Leiderman and Eliezer Gewirtz took care of their matches in the 5
th and 6
th spots respectively, each winning 6-0, 6-1.
Yeshiva's next scheduled match is CCNY on March 11
th.
