Box Score JAMAICA, N.Y. - The Yeshiva University women's volleyball team dropped a match for the first time on the young 2012 season Wednesday night, as the Maccabees fell victim to host York College in non-conference action, 3-0 (25-19, 25-16, 25-10).

Kerrin Ast (St. Louis, Mo.) served up three aces and added as many kills for YU (1-1), while junior libero
Lindsay Wess (Los Angeles, Calif.) passed a match-high eight digs. Sophomore outside hitter,
Jackie Berger (Boca Raton, Fla.) led Yeshiva offensively with four kills.
Head coach Roxanne Prendergast's Maccabees will kick-off the Skyline Conference portion of their schedule Sunday (Sept. 9), when they travel to Patchogue, N.Y., for a 12 noon tri-match at St. Joseph's College. In addition to facing the host Golden Eagles to start the afternoon, YU will square off with The Sage Colleges at 2 p.m.
