NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y.— The Yehsiva University women's volleyball team was defeatwd 3-0 (25-23, 25-16, 25-17) by the College of New Rochelle on Thursday evening.

The Maccabees were led by Kerrin Ast with six kills, while Sarit Zukowsky had five kills and 15 digs. Shira Genauer recorded 20 digs, while Emily Rohan had 19 assists and eight digs.

The College of New Rochelle was led by Megan King and Erica Cuscina with five kills.

In the opening set, the match saw six ties and two lead changes. The Maccabees led 23-19 before the host Blue Angels rallied off the final six points to win.

In the second set, New Rochelle led from start to finish. The Blue Angels scored the first two points of the set and increased its lead throughout.

In the third set, the match went back and forth early. The match was tied 1-1, 3-3, 4-4, 5-5, 6-6, 7-7, 8-8, 9-9, 10-10, 11-11 and 12-12, before New Rochelle scored two straight points and hold the lead throughout.
