SCRANTON, Pa.— The Yeshiva wrestling team went 1-2 in three matches on Sunday as the Maccabees defeated Muhlenberg College 39-11 and lost to the University of Scranton 52-0 and Ursinus College 54-0.
In the win over Muhlenberg,
Joshua Eisenberg was a 7-3 winner in the 133 pound class and
Michael Gabay was victorious in the 157 pound class with a pin after 2:02.
Shmuel Lamm was defeated 15-0 in the 149 pound class.
Against Ursinus, Eisenberg lost 12-4 at 133 pounds, while Lamm was pinned in 2:20 at 149 pounds. At 157 pounds,
Michael Gabay was pinned in 1:39.
Ezra Kapetansky was pinned in 4:32 at 165 pounds. In a 174 pound match,
Chaim Metzger was pinned in 0:14. At 184 pounds,
Alex Straus was pinned in 4:07.
Dovid Greenfield was defeated 4-3 in double overtime at 285 pounds.
In the match against Scranton, Eisenberg was defeated 13-2 at 133 pounds. Lamm was pinned in 210 at 149 pounds. Gabay was pinned in 1:26 at 157 pounds, while Kapetansky was pinned in 3:38 at 165 pounds. At 174 pounds, Metzger was pinned in 4:17. At 184 pounds, Straus was pinned 1:11, while
Yoni Sunshine was defeated 11-10 at 197 pounds. At 285 pounds, Greenfield lost 9-2.
