Men's Tennis Downed by Pratt; Seftel and Saka Team Up for Doubles Victory

Jeremy Seftel teamed up with Charles Saka for a victory at No. 2 doubles against Pratt.
EDGEWATER, N.J. - Junior team captain Jeremy Seftel (Cherry Hill, N.J.) and freshman Charles Saka (Deal, N.J.) teamed up for a victory at No. 2 doubles Thursday night at Binghamton Racquet Club, but that was the only point the Yeshiva University men's tennis team was able to muster, as it dropped an 8-1 decision to visiting Pratt Institute.

Seftel and Saka bested Pratt's Fan Mo and David Krawczyk by an 8-4 decision, before YU's other two doubles tandems narrowly fell in two-point-decision tiebreakers.

Additionally, three of the Maccabees' six singles players battled for three sets apiece, but were unable to convert their respective efforts into team scoring points.

Head coach Jeff Menaker's YU side will now round out its regular season with a pair of Skyline Conference matches at Binghamton Racquet Club. The Macs welcome Mount Saint Mary College for a 12 noon first serve on Sunday afternoon (April 21), before playing host to Purchase College on Monday night (April 22) at 8 p.m.
