EDGEWATER, N.J.— The Yeshiva men's tennis team remained red hot on Wednesday evening as the Maccabees once again earned a 9-0 win as Yeshiva blanked Lehman College at the Binghamton Racquet Club.
The win was the third straight 9-0 victory for the Maccabees this spring who improved to 5-1 overall this season.
Yeshiva won by large margins in each of the doubles positions to lead 3-0. At No. 1 doubles,
Igal Mostkov and
Avi Seidman picked up an 8-3 win. At No. 2 doubles,
Dmitri Lebedyev and
Robby Rubin were 8-1 winners, while at No. 3 doubles,
Jeremy Seftel and
Charles Saka earned an 8-0 shutout.
In singles play, Mostkov was an 8-1 victor at No. 1, while Lebedyev was an 8-0 winner at No. 2. In the No. 3 position, Seftel beat his opponent, 8-3, while at No. 4 it was Saka picking up an 8-5 win. At the No. 5 singles spot, Rubin got an 8-0 win, what at No. 6,
Akiva Katz won 8-1.
