BOX SCOREEDGEWATER, N.J.— The Yeshiva men's tennis team rolled to victory once again to improve to 7-0 this spring as the Maccabees beat St. Joseph's-Long Island 9-0 in a Skyline Conference tilt at the Binghamton Racquet Club Thursday evening.
The win improves Yeshiva to 3-0 in conference play this spring, while St. Joseph's –Long Island is now 2-2 overall and 0-1in Skyline play.
At No. 1 doubles, it was
Igal Mostkov and
Steven Jemal earning an 8-1 win. At No. 2 doubles,
Dmitri Lebedyev and
Robby Rubin were 8-3 victors, while at No.3 doubles it was
Jeremy Seftel and
Charles Saka earning an 8-1 win.
In singles play, Mostkov was a 6-2, 6-1 winner, while Lebedyev won 6-3, 6-2 at the No. 2 singles spot. At No. 3, it was Jemal earning a 6-3, 6-0 win, while at No. 4, Seftel won 6-1, 6-1. No. 5 singles saw Saka earn a 6-0, 6-2 win, and No. 6 singles saw Rubin win 6-0, 6-2.
Yeshiva is back in action on Sunday for a match at the College of Mount Saint Mary in a Skyline contest slated to start at 1 p.m.
