BRONX, NY --- The Yeshiva University men's and women's cross country teams competed at the City College of New York Cross Country Classic on Sunday at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.
On the women's side, the team finished in fourth place our of 19 teams competing against many of the top teams from throughout the region. Sophomore
Lyndsey Pere led the Maccabees with a time of 26:37.8 in the 6k course, coming in 16
th place among scoring runners. Sophomore
Laurel Aaronson was 25
th with a time of 27:16.5, while senior
Shoshana Mond finished 41
st with a time of 28:50.6.
Sophomore
Avraham Raichman led the men's squad with a time of 30:42.8 in the 8k race, finishing 16
th. Senior Shvey Mirkin posted a time of 30:52.9 while coming in 19
th and sophomore
Jake Schrier was 29
th clocking in at 31:32.1.
Up next for the Maccabees will be the Skyline Championships on Sunday, October 25
th at the Hudson Valley Sportsdome in Milton, New York.
