ALBANY, N.Y.— The Yeshiva men's volleyball was defeated in a pair of matches on Sunday as the Maccabees lost 3-0 (25-13, 25-7, 25-10) in a Skyline Conference match to Sage College before losing in a non conference contest to Mt. Ida College 3-0 (25-14, 25-20, 25-18).
With the two losses, Yeshiva is now 1-8 overall on the year and 0-4 in the Skyline Conference.
In the match against Sage, Yeshiva was led by
Kolya Miller and
Tuvia Marks with three kills each.
Eliakim Gartenberg added two kills and a service ace in the match, while
Joseph Lipton had seven digs.
Against, Mt. Ida College, Gartenberg had five kills, four digs and three block assists, while Miller and
Jonathan Shedlo had three kills each.
Jonathan Goldstein had 11 assists, two digs and a service ace.
Yeshiva returns to action next Sunday for a Skyline Conference multi-match at Sarah Lawrence College. The Maccabees will play the College of Mount Saint Vincent at 1 p.m. before squaring off against the host Gryphons at 3 p.m.
