BROOKLYN, N.Y.— The Yeshiva women's basketball team shot a season-high 53.2 percent (41-for-77) and scored a season-high 88 points as the Maccabees beat Pratt Institute 88-14 on Tuesday evening.
The win by Yeshiva improves the Maccabees to 3-11 overall and 2-2 in the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC). Pratt is now 0-5 this season and 0-4 in the HVIAC.
Yeshiva was led by
Rachel Mirsky with 21 points and seven rebounds. She shot 9-for-13 from the field and 3-for-5 from behind the three point line. Meanwhile
Simee Rosner had 16 points on 8-for-13 shooting, with seven rebounds and four blocked shots.
Ester Kerzner added 11 points and four steals, while
Julia Owen had eight points, eight steals and 13 assists.
Pratt Institute was led by Sophie Erb and Maria Castillo with seven points each.
Yeshiva is back in action on Thursday for a game against St. Joseph's-Brooklyn at the Wellness Center at the College of New Rochelle at 8 p.m.
