EDGEWATER, N.J.— The Yeshiva men's tennis team earned a 9-0 win over Lehman College at the Binghamton Racquet Club on Thursday evening to improve to 5-2 overall this season.
The Maccabees strolled to victory in the doubles matches to jump ahead 3-0 before moving to singles matches. At No. 1 singles,
Igal Mostkov and
David Papis Elon won 8-0, while at No. 2 singles, it was
Steven Jemal and
Charles Saka picking up an 8-1 win. At No. 3 doubles,
Dmitri Lebedyev and
Robby Rubin won 8-0.
In singles play, Mostkov won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1. At No. 2,
Steven Jemal scored a 6-2, 6-0 win. At No. 3,
Adam Wannon was a 6-2, 6-2 winner, while at No. 4,
Adam Abergel, playing in his first match of the season since coming back from injury, won 6-2, 6-1.
Charles Saka was at No. 5, 6-1, 6-0, while
Daron Greenblatt won at No. 6 singles, 6-1, 6-0.
Yeshiva returns to action on Sunday against Division I Fordham University at 4 p.m. at Time Life Athletic in Harrison, N.Y.
