THROGGS NECK, NY --- The Yeshiva University women's volleyball team took two losses at a Skyline Conference Multi-Match hosted by Maritime College on Sunday. The Maccabees lost to the host Privateers in the opener, 25-3, 25-14, 25-22, before falling short against the Golden Eagles of St. Joseph's College of Long Island, 25-7, 25-8, 25-6.
 
Junior libero Shaina Hourizadeh led Yeshiva with six kills and eight digs over six sets. Junior Marissa Almoslino finished with four kills and nine digs. Junior Gavriela Colton added three kills, three service aces and nine digs.
 
The Maccabees are now 1-5 on the season and 0-2 against Skyline opponents.
 
Yeshiva will be back on the court on Sunday, October 11^th when they host a Tri-Match against the Culinary Institute of America and Pratt Institute.
