EDGEWATER, N.J. – The Yeshiva University men's tennis team earned a non-conference win over Colby-Sawyer, 6-3, at the Binghamton Racquet Center on Sunday afternoon. The Maccabees now bump their record to 3-1 overall.
Yeshiva won two of its three doubles matches, and four of the six singles matches.
Leading the way was junior
David Papis Elon, who won at # 1 singles, 6-1, 6-4, and teamed up with freshman
Mikey Ozery to win at #1 doubles, 8-0. Ozery was victorious at #3 singles, 6-2, 6-1. Senior
Dmitri Lebedyev and junior
Eitan Rudansky won a tight #2 doubles, 9-8, with the former winning at #2 singles, 6-3, 6-3. Sophomore
Charlie Friedman won at #5 singles, 6-2, 7-5.
The Maccabees will be back in action on Sunday, for their Skyline Conference opener against Sage, at the Binghamton Racquet Club, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
