DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – The Yeshiva University women's volleyball team dropped a non-conference contest to Delaware Valley University, in straight sets, at James Work Gymnasium on Tuesday evening. Set scores were 25-13, 25-11, and 25-18.

The Maccabees (0-13) were led by senior libero Shaina Hourizadeh, who anchored the defense with a match-high 19 digs, and added one ace on offense. Sophomore middle blocker Sarah Rowan led the attack with five kills, while junior opposite hitter Dalia Sieger had three assists and seven digs. Junior outside hitter Ilana Leggiere recorded four digs, while senior setter Yael Ghelman and junior opposite hitter Esther Alexander each had two assists, with the former producing two kills. Senior middle blocker Gavriela Colton added two kills of her own.

The Maccabees will be back in action on Sunday, October 9, for a Skyline Conference Tri-Match at the Sage Colleges. Yeshiva will take on Purchase College at 1:00 p.m., and then take on the host Gators of Sage at 3:00 p.m.
