BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University women's soccer team suffered a hard-fought loss to the College at Old Westbury, 3-1, at the Aviator Sports and Events Center on Sunday evening.
The Panthers (1-2, 1-0 Skyline) struck quickly as Nicole Jones scored just 1:21 into the match to put Yeshiva (1-3, 0-2 Skyline) in an early hole. The Maccabees answered back in the 15

Anabella Berti, who one-touched the ball past the Panthers' goalkeeper to even the match, 1-1. That would be the score at the intermission.
Old Westbury scored two quick goals in the second half to take control. Cara Normile put the Panthers ahead in the 73
rd minute, while Keleyna Romoleroux added an insurance tally in the 75
thminute. The Panthers went on to win the contest, 3-1.
For the match, Old Westbury had the heavy advantage in shots, 33-4. The Panthers had 14 corner kicks, while the Maccabees did not have any. In net, freshman goalkeeper
Rivka Lindenblatt stopped a career-high 15 shots for YU.
Yeshiva will be back in action on Wednesday, for a Skyline match at Maritime College, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
