PURCHASE, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University women's volleyball team suffered a Skyline Conference loss to Purchase College, in straight sets, at the PC Gymnasium on Tuesday evening. Set scores were 25-10, 25-7, and 25-15.
The Maccabees (1-9, 0-4 Skyline) had a strong match defensively, as senior outside hitter
Batya Schreier led all players with eight digs, while sophomore middle blocker
Tehilla Teigman registered six digs and a block. The former slammed home a pair of kills and added an assist, while the latter had three kills, two assists, and an ace.

Kayla Gross had a kill, one service ace, and a pair of helpers. Sophomore setter
Julie Chase helped out with two assists, scored a kill, and produced a dig. Senior middle blocker
Abigail Epstein had an assist with a dig, while senior defensive specialist

Ellie Chase chipped in on defense with a dig.
For the Panthers (3-12, 1-5 Skyline) Sommer Cody had a match-high nine kills to go along with six digs and three assists.
Yeshiva will take on the defending Skyline champion United States Merchant Marine Academy, in a conference showdown, on Thursday evening. The match will take place on the Kings Point campus with Yeshiva designated as the official home team. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
