NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University women's volleyball team dropped its final home match of the season to Maritime College (7-16, 4-6 Skyline) in straight sets, at the Dwight Athletic Center, on Wednesday afternoon. Set scores were 25-13, 25-7, and 25-15.
Leading the way for the Maccabees (1-13, 0-8 Skyline) was sophomore middle blocker
Tehilla Teigman, who slammed home six kills, scored two service aces, and anchored the defense with a pair of digs. Senior outside hitter
Batya Schreier had three assists, just as many digs, and a kill.
Senior defensive specialist
Melissa Stock tallied a pair of aces, and contributed on defense with three digs. Senior middle blocker
Abigail Epstein recorded three digs, while senior setter
Ellie Chase, classmate
Kayla Gross, and sophomore setter
Julie Chase each produced one dig. Senior right side hitter
Ilana Karp scored an ace and had two digs.
Yeshiva will travel to Farmingdale State College, on Sunday, for a Skyline Conference tri-match. The Maccabees will play the Bears of St. Joseph's College Brooklyn at 12:00 p.m., and then take on the host Rams at 2:00 p.m.
