MILTON, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University women's cross country team competed in the Skyline Conference Championships, at the Hudson Valley Sportsdome, on Thursday afternoon. The Maccabees finished ninth overall, with 225 points. The United States Merchant Marine Academy earned first place.
Leading the way for Yeshiva was senior
Shirah Isaacs, who finished 33
rd overall in the 6k race, with a time of 29:29.81. Senior
Ayelet Itzhak was the 40
th runner to cross the finish line, at the 30:01.66 mark. Senior
Rivka Greenberg finished in 62
nd place, with a time of 32:37.81.
Rounding out the Yeshiva runners were junior
Amanda Kasztl (32:57.38), sophomore
Leeba Goldenhersh (34:41.35), classmate
Sarah Russman (36:52.65), senior
Shira Perton (36:58.92), and sophomore
Yitzhar Shalom (50:52.10).
Yeshiva will compete in the Nick Russo Invitational, at Branch Brook Park, next Sunday at 12:00 p.m.
