Women's Volleyball Suffers Two Losses at Skyline Tri-Match

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University women's volleyball team suffered a pair of conference losses, in a Skyline tri-match at the Campbell Sports Center, on Sunday afternoon. Yeshiva fell to Old Westbury, in straight sets, and was defeated by host Sarah Lawrence, 3-0.

In the match against the Panthers, set scores were 25-6, 25-7, and 25-15. Sophomore middle blocker Tehilla Teigman slammed home three kills, had just as many blocks, and produced three digs. Senior middle blocker Abigail Epstein registered a pair of kills, anchored the defense with a team-high five digs, and added a block. Classmate Batya Schreier had four assists to go along with a pair of digs, while sophomore outside hitter Rebekah Bargraser added four digs, a kill, and a pair of assists. Sophomore right side hitter Kayla Gross and senior libero Melissa Stock each had two digs, with the former scoring a service ace.

Against the Gryphons, game scores were 25-10, 25-16, and 25-17. Teigman added five kills, eight digs, two blocks, an ace, and an assist. Schreier added six digs, added four more helpers, and registered a kill. Epstein slammed home a pair of kills, produced three digs, scored an ace, and added an assist. Bargraser had a kill with three digs, while Stock and senior right side hitter Ilana Karp each chipped in on defense with four digs.

Yeshiva will battle John Jay College, at the Doghouse on Tuesday evening, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
