THROGGS NECK, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University women's basketball team suffered a Skyline Conference loss to Mount Saint Vincent, 86-44, at Riesenberg Gym on Sunday afternoon.

History was made as senior forward Michal Alge grabbed her 832^nd career rebound, during the opening quarter, which breaks a program record that was previously held by Rebecca Yoshor ('14). For the game, Alge produced a double-double with 12 points and 19 rebounds. 10 of Alge's 19 boards were on the offensive side. The Boston resident also forced three steals and distributed two assists. Alge entered the afternoon just one rebound shy of tying the program record and two boards away from breaking it.

With 6:48 remaining in the first quarter, Alge grabbed her 831^st career rebound which tied the school record. On that same possession, junior guard Nicole Bick drew a foul and went to the free throw line. She hit both shots from the charity stripe, to pull the Macs (4-18, 2-14 Skyline) to within one, at 3-2. Later in the quarter, Yeshiva missed a jump shot but Alge grabbed the offensive board for her 832^nd career rebound, setting the school record.

Down 10-3, Yeshiva answered with a 7-3 run, capped off by a layup from freshman forward Celia Cohen, off a feed from Alge, to narrow the Dolphins' (11-9, 9-7 Skyline) lead to 13-10. Mount Saint Vincent answers with 10 unanswered points from the end of the opening quarter into the early stages of the second, to take a commanding 23-10 lead.

Yeshiva could not generate another run to get back into the game, while CMSV steadily increased its lead throughout the remainder of the contest. The Dolphins went on to earn the Skyline win to solidify their playoff position.

For the game, Bick led the team in scoring with 13 points. Freshman guard Leah Shulman added 10 points, while Cohen added four points with two rebounds. Freshman forward Lindsay Brandwein had two points with two boards, while classmate Chana Boltax produced three points. Senior forward Chavi Charlap had three boards, while freshman guard Adina Rosenberg, freshman forward Nechama Dembitzer, and sophomore guard Laura Betesh each grabbed two caroms. Junior guard Penny Rabin had one rebound and one assist.

Thanks to her 19 boards, Alge now has a school record of 849 rebounds in her illustrious career.

Yeshiva will host Old Westbury, at Nat Holtman Gymnasium, on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
