EDGEWATER, N.J. – The Yeshiva University women's tennis team opened the spring season with a non-conference loss to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, 8-1, at the Binghamton Racquet Club on Sunday afternoon. Yeshiva drops to 10-2, while RPI advances to 8-3.
The reigning Skyline Conference champions were led by senior
Shani Hava, who earned a win at #1 singles, 6-3, 6-2. She teamed with junior
Rebecca Packer to win three games at #1 doubles, but it was not enough to win the flight. Sophomore
Bailey Frohlich and classmate
Michal Ladenheim won three games of their own at #3 doubles, but fell short in the match. Sophomore
Shana Adler won three games in the second set, at #6 singles, but could not win either set.
On Sunday, April 15, the Maccabees will continue to train for the upcoming NCAA Division III tournament with a non-conference matchup at Ramapo College. First serve is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
