ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University men's volleyball team suffered a non-conference loss to Bard College, in straight sets, at the Stevenson Athletic Center on Tuesday evening. Set scores were 25-6, 25-11, and 25-10. The Raptors advance to 3-17, while the Maccabees fall to 3-15.
Leading the way for Yeshiva was junior outside hitter
Amitai Miller, who slammed home four kills to go along with six digs. Freshman setter
Isaac Pomerance had a team-high 10 assists to go along with three digs. Sophomore middle blocker
Yosef Ajami had four kills, while junior libero
Gavriel Hizami produced six digs of his own. Freshman outside hitter
Joseph Sulaymanov and sophomore outside hitter
Derek Orenshein each slammed home three kills, with the latter recording two digs.
Yeshiva will return from the break on Tuesday, April 10, for a critical Skyline Conference match-up at Sarah Lawrence College. First serve is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. With a victory, the Maccabees will clinch a spot in the upcoming Skyline Conference championships.
