TEANECK, N.J. – The Yeshiva University women's soccer team suffered a Skyline Conference loss to Mount Saint Mary College, 9-0, at Votee Park on Sunday evening. The Knights advance to 1-0-0 in the Skyline and 3-3-1 overall, while the Maccabees drop to 0-2-0 in the conference and 0-5-0 in the season as a whole.
Mount Saint Mary was attacking in Yeshiva's third of the field throughout the opening half, but the Maccabees produced a strong effort defensively and held the opposition to just two goals in the first 45 minutes of the contest. In the second half, the Knights would consistently cash in on their opportunities, scoring seven goals in the period. The visiting team went on to earn the conference win.
For the Knights, Gina Rivera and Theresa Stinson each produced a hat trick, with the former adding a pair of assists and the latter recording one helper. Claire Newman produced a goal and an assist, while Nikki Carter and Brittany Bornstad each scored a goal. Miranda Fennessy chipped in with a pair of assists, while Emma Costa added a helper of her own.

Yeshiva will be back in action on Friday, October 5, for a Skyline Conference match at Purchase College. The contest is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m.
